Mike
& Tim entertain regularly in many of the well known pubs and hotels in
Killarney and surrounding areas. This album contains some of the popular Irish Traditional Tunes &
Ballads that the duo perform in their nightly sessions. Their music has a wide appeal among the tourists who visit the
area and who like to spend an entertaining evening in the friendly pubatmosphere. To help celebrate Irish culture they also regularly
travel to Europe and North America to play in Irish pubs and other
venues. For over 15 years they have spent St. Patrick's week in
the Philadelphia, PA (USA) area playing at numerous public houses
including the Glenside Pub, Mace's Crossing, Tony's Place, North Hills
Country Club, Spring Mill Country Club and others. Mike Cronin has been playing traditional music in the
Sliabb Luachra style for over thirty five years carrying on the
tradition handed down to him by his late father and uncle. His accordion accompaniment is highly ornamental and versatile. Tim Gleeson has been playing guitar and singing ballads
for many years. He plays
guitar accompaniment to traditional music. He is highly respected for his spirited rendition of Irish
ballads and folk songs. Mike, Tim nd Tom bring an energy to what they perform and
will have you clapping your hands and tapping your feet in no time.

The Irish Traditional tracks include St. Patricks Day which is a
popular step dancing. Polkas
and Slides also feature in the Traditional Set Dances like the Sliabb
Luachra . The vocal tracks Galway Shawl, Dublin in the Rare Old Times, and Whiskey in the Jar are well known ballads.
Mikes Galway Boy is the other Galway Bay a ballad of emigration. Tim's Matt Hyland tells
